Biyography

In 2001, he completed his doctorate in the Business Administration Department of the Faculty of Political Sciences in Ankara University. His Ph.D. thesis topic is “A new approach to corporate valuation in business; Fuzzy set theory“. In 2010, he completed a postdoctoral research in the field of energy finance at the CEPMLP center at Dundee University in Scotland. The research was financed by the European Union Jean Monnet Scholarship and the research topic is “Estimating cost of capital for regulated energy utilities in emerging markets: The case of Turkey”.

He worked as an engineer, technical expert, chief engineer and division manager in the General Directorate of Eti Mine Works from 1990 until 2001.

Since 2002, he has been working in the Electricity Market Regulatory Department of Energy Market Regulatory Authority. He started to work as an energy specialist in 2001, and since 2003 he has worked as a group manager in wholesale, market monitoring and legislation. Since June, 2014, he has been working as the head of market monitoring and legislation group in the electricity market department.
