Biography

Seyran Hatipoğlu, who is a graduate of Bilkent University Faculty of Business Administration and a second degree in Finance Master Programme from Atılım University. She won the Ottoman Bank II.MT (Management Trainee) program exams with degrees and entered the finance sector after five-month very intensive Executive Program. She started to work in corporate and commercial banking marketing department at the Bank. During her active 10-year banking working life, she was experienced in marketing, market analysis, business development, financial analysis, loan application process, budget preparation, risk management, customer relationship management and corporate quality internal auditor. She achieved significant numerical success while working at banking sector. At the end of the 10th year, she ended her banking life, where she was at the management level.

She decided to continue her business life as an entrepreneur. This approach followed by the financial sector as a franchise of an international food chain in Turkey, was the first woman franchisee in this brand in Turkey. She obtained the international franchisee certificate by completing the training series required to get the royalty of this  international brand with the highest score of 98. Growth of the company’s market share in 2007 was 27%, she had a 45% growth rate. She increased its market share with innovative approaches and good teamwork.

The year 2009 and the following period was a period of “Women Entrepreneurship” for her. Due to this, many institutions made speaker invitations in order to tell the story of her establishment and success at the beginning of 2011. Having the approval of KOSGEB trainer, started to give “Entrepreneurship Trainings” organized by KOSGEB within the scope of cooperation with universities, development agencies, chambers of commerce, associations and Turkish Employment Agency in various provinces throughout the country, It has given theoretical and practical trainings to over 1,000 people, and has supported them to write business plans and establish a business. She also provided special supports to entrepreneurs in financial management.

She started working as a senior external expert in EU projects in 2013, she is still continuing. She is working in Sustainable Energy Financing Fund in Turkey (TurSEFF) project developed by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), over seven years as a Financial Institutions Relationship Manager. It is thematic Finance program for “Renewable Energy and Resource Efficiency” investments around the Turkey. In this context, she carries out market analysis, business development activities, awareness raising studies, relationship management with financial institutions, sustainable finance modelling, green product development studies for relevant local financial institutions (banks and leasing). Within this scope, she gives trainings throughout the country to all stakeholders and over EUR 750 million funding have been provided to over 2,500 projects with an installed capacity of around 650 MW. In the priority of carbon emission reduction, climate finance and sustainable finance modeling are topics of her special interests.

Her fields of expertise are finance management, financial relations management, financial literacy, sustainability, entrepreneurship and business development, and he still gives trainings to different institutions and organizations in these contents. She has been a speaker and moderator in around 100 events across the country in the fields of energy finance, financial literacy and entrepreneurship.

She has been working as a member of the advisory board of the ” Turkish Women in Renewable Energy and Energy Sector ” (TWRE) platform, which was developed with the aim of creating a positive perception towards women in the energy sector, increasing women’s interest in the energy sector and bringing more “Green Collar Women” professionals to the sector.
