NURİ TÜZEK

Biography

Nuri Tüzek was born in Üsküdar in 1984 and is originally from Kastamonu. He completed his elementary, middle, and high school education in Pendik. He began his career as an attorney after graduating from the Justice Vocational School of the Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2007 and from the Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law in 2011. He worked alongside his father, a merchant in Pendik for 45 years, throughout his school years. Nuri Tüzek, who is also a mediator, continues his mediation and legal practice at a law firm he founded in Pendik Çarşı after graduation.

He has been actively involved in numerous civil society organizations. He has been involved in politics since his high school years; in 2015, he was appointed as deputy chairman of the AK Party Pendik District Presidency and served two terms as chairman of the election affairs committee. He was elected as a Pendik Municipal Council Member in the 2019 and 2024 Local Elections; in addition to serving as a council member and chair of the legal committee, he has held roles in various other committees. He has also actively served in numerous civil society organizations, including the Lawyers’ Association, Kasder, Önder Association, Pesiad, Pihmed, and the Pendik Kastamonu Association, where he served on their advisory boards.

Tüzek, who currently holds the position of First Deputy Speaker of the Pendik Municipal Council, is also the Deputy Mayor. He is married and the father of two children.
