Community Biogas: For Environmentally and Economically Sustainable Rural Areas

Abstract

The Danish case, as a good practice example, and the different ownership models that are currently applied for the biogas technology in the country (i.e. from single-farmer-owned to community-owned). Speech will mostly focus on some advices on how to adapt the Danish model to other countries that could significantly benefit from the integration of this technology-this is done with a special focus on Turkey. The final objective of the presentation is to encourage energy policy makers to define targets and supportive frameworks for the integration of the technology together with community ownership models in their own countries and regions.
