Biography

İbrahim Erden was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for three years at TÜREB (Turkish Wind Energy Association) General Assembly held on February 20, 2022. İbrahim Erden, who has been working in various private companies in the energy sector for many years, has been working as the Assistant General Manager at RHG Enertürk Enerji Üretim A.Ş. Prior to his current position, he served as the Assistant General Manager for Business Development and Power Plant Investments, including YEKA wind and solar projects, at Kalyon Energy.

Prior to this duty, he carried out different duties at Enerjisa between 2006-2018, undertaking strategy, business development, renewable energy investments and investment management, mergers and acquisitions,management of production and distribution privatization processes and similar responsibilities.

Erden, who has extensive experience in the field of energy in Turkey and the USA, also previously served at different management positions at Arçelik and MR Valuation Consulting companies.

TÜREB President İbrahim Erden has served as a board member representing Enerjisa and Kalyon Energy in the past. In addition to this sectoral duty, he has been a GUYAD Board Member and founding member since 2017, and has been a member of DEK-TMK for many years.

İbrahim Erden graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and completed his master’s degree in the same field at Rutgers University, New Jersey, and Executive MBA programs at Sabancı University. Erden is still continuing his doctoral studies in the field of Energy Economics and Policies at Ege University.
