Current Situation and Development of Roof Market in Solar Power Plant Investments

Abstract

As of March 2018, the GES establishment power, which received the provisional acceptance letter, has reached approximately 4 GW and it is estimated that the GES installed power will reach 5 GW by the end of 2018.

While unlicensed GES field applications are rapidly evolving, it is observed that roof top applications are very limited. We believe that it is very important to work with public and sector stakeholders in determining the road map for the healthy development of the GES Roof Top Market in our country with approximately 10.000.000 roofs.

Biography

He graduated from Istanbul Technical University Electrical and Electronics Faculty in 1986 as Electrical Engineer.

Between 1986-2001, he worked as an expert engineer in Netaş firm.

Between 2001 and 2006, AES Alternatif Enerji Sistemleri A.Ş. He has worked as an investment consultant for wind and solar energy in various companies between 2006-2011.

Between 2011-2016, Arıkanlı Holding’s renewable energy investment firm Arien Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. He  worked as a senior manager.

Since 2016, he has been working as the Secretary General in the Solar Energy Industry Association, where he is a founding member.

Born in Istanbul on 13 August 1965, Hakan Erkan is married and has two children.
