Biography

Ceyda KAZANCIOĞLU KAYNAR is a professional with many years of experience in local governments in the fields of sustainable development, climate action and environmental infrastructure projects with her expertise based on environmental engineering. After graduating in 2010 from Akdeniz University, Department of Environmental Engineering, she started her career by taking an active role in the tender process of Amasya Municipality’s Wastewater Treatment Plant, starting from the tender process to the commissioning and operation phases of the plant.

Ceyda KAZANCIOĞLU KAYNAR, who serves as Strategy Development Manager of Amasya Municipality, assumes important responsibilities in the development of environment and climate-oriented policies that constitute the sustainability vision of the organization, the establishment of national and international collaborations and the execution of strategic projects. She has played an active role in many environmental and governance-based projects, especially the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) prepared under the “Covenant of Mayors”.

KAZANCIOĞLU KAYNAR, who works on urban resilience, green infrastructure, preservation and utilization of cultural heritage and environmental financing models, adopts a holistic and science-based approach in the sustainable transformation of local governments.
