Buzda Enerji Depolama Sistemlerinin Ekonomik Açıdan Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Energy storage is to store energy for later usage. Energy is charged into a storage medium when energy source is active or cheap and discharged from the storage medium when energy source is not active or expensive. Thermal energy storage is one of the most advanced type of energy storage. Although there many types of thermal energy storage system, ice thermal energy storage (ITES) system is a common in building cooling application. Almost half of the building electricity consumption is for cooling and air conditioning systems. ITES systems have great advance on shifting peak load to off peak times. Energetic, economic and environmental benefits are obtained with shifting peak load to off peak times via ITES systems.

Shopping centres have high cooling load because of their constructions and people circulations. Cooling costs of the shopping centres and hypermarkets can be reduced by ITES systems. This study presents a review on ITES system using at the shopping centres. Also, a case study is performed for a shopping centre which is located in Ankara, Turkey. Investigated shopping centre has 15,000 m² closed areas. 10,000 m² of that closed area is cooled with air conditioning. Effect of the ITES system on electricity consumption for the shopping centre is investigated.

Biyografi

Doğan Erdemir Haziran 2010’da Erciyes Üniversitesi, Makine Mühendisliği Bölümünden mezun oldu. Haziran 2010 ve Ocak 2011 tarihleri arasında özel bir şirkette ARGE yönetici olarak çalıştı. Ocak 2011’de Erciyes Üniversitesi, Makine Mühendisliği Bölümü, Termodinamik Ana Bilim Dalı’nda araştırma görevlisi olarak çalışmaya başladı. Temmuz 2013’de Yüksek Lisans eğitimini tamamladı. Şu anda Erciyes Üniversitesinde doktora eğitiminin sürdürmektedir. Temel çalışma alanı enerji depolama teknolojileri olup, hali hazırda Türkiye’nin ticari ilk buzda enerji depolama uygulaması ile alakalı doktora tezi çalışması yürütmektedir.
